Eburru forest

Eburru forest is a mystical place. Situated only 2 hours from Nairobi, just above Naivasha, it is a little-known gem. Camping deep in this boggy and dense rainforest really takes you away from it all. Living up to its mystique, it is one of the very few places where the elusive mountain bongos and giant forest hogs still reside. There are 2 main peaks to be climbed and good bird watching to be done.

Expert tip: you can enter the park on a motorbike. Getting there might be a challenge, but 100% worth the effort.
