Mt. Satima

The Aberdares mountain range offers many hiking options. Our favorite is the trek to the summit of Mt. Satima, the highest peak. A beautiful walk to 4001m altitude during which you'll pass the "Dragons teeth". The twin peaks campsite lies at the trail head of the hike. At around 3000m, make sure to be well prepared. After sunset it gets cold, very cold.

Expert tip: a short 5 minute walk down from the campsite brings you to an epic sun downer spot (as you can see in the picture)!
