Shaba National Park

If Samburu was not wild enough, then spend a night in Shaba NP. It is like visiting a different planet. Hot and dusty yet wildly beautiful. Depending on how animals trek, wildlife might not be abundant. However, the scenery of the park, and especially the campsites along the river, are absolutely enchanting. You are very unlikely to run into any other tourist over here, as there is only 1 lodge, located at the park entrance.

Expert tip: Keep an eye out for the northern "special 5", which can all be found in the park! Can be combined well with hiking Mt. Ololokwe or visiting Samburu NP.
